Spicing Up Your Life

I never thought winter would end. We had more snow this year than I can remember and it stayed colder longer than usual but I finally think that spring is here. I have tomatoes and peppers started and they are coming along nicely. They are in the garage with light on them for 20 hours per day and they seem to be growing without becoming leggy.

I have tilled the garden twice now and still have spinach and arugula that I covered to survive the winter cold. You can see here how well they are doing now. Today I am going to start planting seeds for lettuce, beans, peas and squash. Let’s get out there and get some dirt under our fingers. Life is about growth and what better way to grow than to grow your own fruit and vegetables.
